Every icon is handmade in Canada, merging centuries-old Byzantine tradition with state-of-the-art durability to create custom, heirloom-quality sacred art.
We select premium Birch plywood panels (12mm for wall art, 6mm for tabletop). Sanded perfectly flat to ensure structural integrity and a heavy, substantial feel.
Every background is meticulously hand-gilded with premium, aged composition gold leaf (foil). This creates a highly reflective, radiant glow that shifts beautifully with natural light.
Using state-of-the-art UV fine art printing, archival pigments are bonded directly into the wood grain. This preserves the subtle brushstrokes and produces fade-resistant, vibrant colors.
Each icon is finished with multiple coats of protective, waterproof varnish, securing the gold leaf and preserving the colors for generations.
